Many of Dr. Nguyen’s patients benefit from simple braces that offer alignment, comfort, and a low profile. Traditionally, braces have been anything but discreet, but this changes with clear braces.

Clear braces (also called ceramic braces) are similar to traditional metal braces, using brackets and wires to realign your teeth, but there’s one major difference: clear braces use brackets (and sometimes even wires) made from a tooth-colored material that helps the braces blend in with the color of your natural teeth. This means clear braces are barely noticeable, especially compared to traditional braces!

There is a particular kind of clear brace called Invisalign which is extremely popular. Invisalign doesn’t use brackets and wires, though; instead, it uses a series of clear plastic aligners made from digital impressions of your mouth. Once an aligner is properly placed in the mouth, it practically disappears from view, so most people won’t be able to tell that you’re wearing them! And with each set of aligners, your teeth will gradually realign until they’re practically perfect.
